Psychotherapy is a process in
which you discover how YOU can best meet challenges your life has presented
you. We all have different temperaments we were born with, then, the early
experiences shape our future expectations, put roadblocks or life supports in
our way. Every life brings constant changes, new circumstances,
new events, new relationships, work changes, health
challenges, loss. Moments of change may feel like a crisis, a
challenge nothing we had done or learned prepared us for. These
moments, however, may become openings to a new way, to a new kind of living.
Are you are feeling the life you are living is not what you have hoped for and things are not supposed to be the way they are? Feeling that we, or the people and situations around us, drift further and further away from our hopes and expectations can bring mounting stress and dissatisfaction into our lives. If something is not working the way you think it should--your work, your relationships, your health--it may be time to review your strategies, your resources, and your beliefs. I believe we are all equipped to live well the life we had been given. You may have to change something, you may have to struggle for a bit longer, but it is within your reach.
Psychotherapy offers reduction in emotional and health costs of life challenges. The objective of therapy is to assist with life transitions, with finding better ways to meet daily events, relate to other people, work, and to create more freedom and peace.
Psychotherapy and counselling are often used to describe the same kind of services.
